The teachings, talks, prayers, sadhana, chants and offerings to the Buddha at the Mahabodhi Temple are open to all and will take place from 8:00 am to 11:30 am and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm each day. To take a look at the detailed schedule see here

Getting here by Air
Gaya is the nearest airport which is approximately 10.6 kilometres from the Mahabodhi temple. Though the frequency of flights is lesser, the airport is well-connected to New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata by flights.

- The second nearest airport is in Patna which is approximately 115 kilometres (3.30 hrs) away from the town.
- The other nearest airport is in Varanasi which is approximately 280 kms (5.30 hrs) away from the holy town.
* The choice and availability of flights from Patna is far greater than Gaya as well as more economical.
Getting here by Rail
The nearest rail head is Gaya Junction, which is approximately 13 kilometres away from Bodhgaya. It is well-connected to major Indian cities. From Gaya railway station, you can reach the holy town by hiring any local taxi from there.
